The AssureWave program collects topology, application, and client information from sources such as advanced services, sales engineers, Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC), and customers to build test networks that simulate particular industry environments. The test networks run additional scenarios based on the collected information to better cover various interoperability matrices. The industry test beds are built on existing technologies such as Mobility, Voice, Security and Routing/Switching. In addition, existing best practices and deployment guides from the different technologies are referenced and deployed in the networks.
The AssureWave program also enlists testing from third parties and partners. This ensures stringent testing of client and application interoperability, which results in a smoother introduction of a complete wireless network.
Testing is currently performed on the following simulated networks:
- Healthcare
- Enterprise
- Retail
- Higher education
Additional emulated networks will be developed in the future.
